Starting – the first lesson.

I always start with a single lesson to see if we are a good fit for each other. Generally the first lesson is to establish what your goals are and where you are technically. If appropriate I will ask you to play something that you have been working on, or for beginners I will teach you the fundamentals. If we choose to continue I will book you in for the same time each week for the remaining weeks in that term.

Lessons are held at my home based studio located near the Thornbury/West Preston border.  My teaching space is comfortable, warm and welcoming. Lessons are held on a Kawai limited edition upright grand.

There is ample free parking located outside, or a 6 minute walk from the West Preston tram (no 11), or 7 minutes from the East Coburg tram (no. 1) via a lovely walk over the Merri Creek. The closest train stations are Thornbury and Bell Stations.

Lesson length is typically 30 minutes but can be up to an hour once a week. I sometimes offer fortnightly lessons to adults.
Lessons are held during the Victorian school term dates. Visit the the Department of Education for all dates.

There are no lessons on public holidays.
