Trial lesson

Please call me or send an email to inquire about my availability.

Starting – two options

Option 1: a 10 minute meet and greet (free)
Learning the piano successfully is really influenced by the relationship that you have with your teacher. A quick chat in person can see if we are a good fit for each other and can also provide you with time to ask questions about attending lessons and learning the piano. If we choose to continue I will book you in each week for the remaining weeks in that term.

Option 2: a trial lesson (20 minutes $30) + 10 minute chat
A trial lesson* can give you a feel for me as a teacher, and you as a student. Generally this lesson is to establish what your goals are and where you are technically. I will ask you to play something that you have been working on, or for beginners I will teach you some fundamentals. If we choose to continue I will book you in each week for the remaining weeks in that term.
* one per student onlyLessons are held at my home based studio located in West Preston (near the Thornbury border).  My teaching space is comfortable, warm and welcoming. Lessons are held on a Kawai limited edition upright grand.

I have strict set of conditions that I apply to my teaching practice. All students must agree to these conditions in order to obtain lessons. You can view my conditions here.

Please note:
* I am no longer taking beginner students under 10 years of age. I suggest searching for a suitable teacher on www.musicteacher.com.au.
* I do not teach improvisation/ jazz piano.
* All students must have a piano or good quality digital piano to practice on.
